An abandoned city in Japan. Nature is coming back, destroying more and more of the concrete buildings. Hashima was known for its undersea coal mines. Mitsubishi bought the island in 1890. In 1960 the population reached about 5,000 inhabitants. Mitsubishi officially announced the closing of the mine in 1974.
